On Saturday, May 11, 2024, we’ll embark on a Spring day hike that will allow us to explore and better understand our natural surroundings, strengthen observation skills, and help us see another part of the world right before our eyes. Transportation, snacks and hiking boots are provided.

Departure Time and Meet Up:
9:00 am, in front of 68 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201
9:45 am, in front of 560 W 169th Street, New York, NY 10032
Estimated return time is 3pm at 169th Street and 4pm at Jay Street.
Hike Location: Harriman State Park, NY
Trail information
We will be hiking 4.9 miles of the Lake Skannatati Long Path to Lichen to Ramapo Dunderburg Loop at Harriman State Park, NY.
What to bring
Comfortable sneakers or hiking boots
2 Large Water bottles
Snacks
Fruit (banana or apples preferred)
Sandwich in a sealable bag
Backpack
Baseball cap or beanie
Long Sleeve Sweatshirt
Windbreaker, vest, fleece or lightweight jacket appropriate for the weather.

This day hike will be led by Jonny Soto-Altrogge and Cory Bishop.
