Girl Unleashed is a new initiative supported by Camping to Connect to empower girls of multicultural backgrounds to embrace the beauty of nature through camping, hiking, and other outdoor recreational experiences. Launched in March 2025, its goal is to open its first free summer camp this Summer.

By offering unprecedented access to the great outdoors, often for the first time, girls learn to develop a community that helps them foster resilience and the essential tools to navigate live’s challenges.

The group is now taking donations to launch its first summer camp, where 50 girls of various backgrounds will have the chance to explore nature and acquire backcountry skills, while creating a sense of belonging designed to impact their day-to-day lives.
